Dr. Carlos Ramos Hinds graduated in 1997 as Medical Doctor from one of the most prestigious private universities in El Salvador: Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador (UEES). In 199, he received the “International Course on Developing and Organizing a Trauma System” at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, Israel. He graduated in 2000 as General and Laparoscopic Surgeon from one of the most prestigious hospitals in the public health system in El Salvador: Hospital Nacional Zacamil with accreditation from UEES. He received the “ATLS- Advanced Trauma Life Support” Course as well as fulfilled a 3 month fellowship in the Trauma team and Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery facilities at the UofL Hospital in Louisville, KY (USA). In 2005, he received the “Intensive Course on Laparoscopic Surgery” at the European Institute of TeleSurgery in Strasbourg, France.
In 2005, he graduated as a Laparoscopic Surgeon from Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg, France. In 2000, served as Staff Surgeon in the Pacemaker Implantation Program hosted by San Salvador Noroeste Rotary Club at Hospital Nacional Zacamil. He served as Chief of the Surgery Department at the Hospital General de Soyapango from 2002 to 2003.
He is currently a member of the Surgical Staff of all major private hospitals in El Salvador. He is a member of the following: Medical College of El Salvador, Latinamerican General Surgery Federation (FELAC), Central America & Panamá General Surgery Federation (FECCAP), International College of Surgeons, Enteral & Parenteral Nutrition Association of El Salvador (ASANPEN), Enteral & Parenteral Nutrition Latinamerican Federation (FELANPE), French Society of Digestive Surgery, Salvadoran Export Chamber of Health Services (EXPORTSALUD), and the Medical Tourism Association (MTA).
