Arturo Garza is CEO of Grupo CHRISTUS MUGUERZA, a leading private health care system in México formed by six hospitals, six community service clinics and an array of non acute services. In the last eight years and under his leadership, the group has developed and implemented a successful growth strategy that continues to lead its rapid expansion while keeping its international-quality medical service and patient centered care.
His professional experience encompasses both the health care and financial sectors. In health care sector and before serving as CEO of CHRISTUS MUGUERZA, Mr. Garza held positions as general manager for CHRISTUS MUGUERZA Saltillo and strategic planning vice-president for the Group, where he was awarded as “Best Employee of the Year”. In the financial sector he was appointed as director of business development for IVAX Corporation, a multinational pharmaceutical company based in Miami, Florida where he performed extensive merger and acquisitions work in Latin-American. In 2008 he was elected vice-president of the Mexican Private Hospital Association.
Arturo Garza earned a masters degree in international business from The American Graduate School of International Business (Thunderbird) and did graduate studies at ITESM (Monterrey Tech – a leading Latin-American business school). While doing his undergraduate studies in business administration, Mr. Garza lead Monterrey based operations for Gente Nueva, a non-for-profit organization devoted to help poor communities in the south most Mexican states. He was born in 1969 in Monterrey, Mexico.
