Alexandra Jung is a senior vice president in Aon's Health & Benefits practice based in Chicago. Her primary function includes Health and Benefits Practice Leader for the Central and West Regions with a specialty of healthcare strategy development, plan funding and administration.
Mrs. Jung has over 20 years of experience in assisting clients with benefits issues.
She began her career leading benefits at Arthur Andersen and then joined Mercer Benefits Consulting as the manager of the National Health Care Analysis Unit. Eventually she joined a client and became the Managing Director of Benefits for the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits of the United Methodist Church.
She helped manage a large scale redesign and implementation of benefit changes for the denomination from the development of designs to working with the board to develop resolutions to gain approval from the denomination.
This internal insight has helped her understand first hand all the variables employers must consider when weighing alternatives.
As a professional consultant, she has developed deep expertise of the healthcare market. This combination of experience provides unique value when developing long term health care strategies for Fortune 500 companies. Mrs. Jung has worked with employers on the development and implementation of large scale plan design and funding strategies including consumer driven health care plans, health savings accounts and health improvement initiatives.
Some of her past clients include Alcoa, Amsted Industries, Northwestern University, PepsiAmericas, and Zurich Insurance.
Mrs. Jung holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Northeastern Illinois University.
She has been quoted in articles on healthcare in the Chicago Tribune, Business Insurance, Workforce Management Magazine, Crain’s Chicago Business and numerous other publications.
She is a regular speaker at events such as the Midwest Business Group on Health, Crain’s Annual Health Care Conference, the Benefits Management Expo, the Self Insurance Association of America, John Marshall Law School, and HRMAC where she serves as the Chair for the Total Rewards Interest Group.
